If you are unaware of the significance of these numbers, we encourage you to visit the link listed below to learn about Canada’s history and how you can be a part of the reconciliation that is long overdue.

As a Tkaronto theatre company, we tend to perform on the unceded territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and land that is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. We urge you to reflect on the land that you are on and your relationship to it. Acknowledge the original caretakers and think about how we can better hold ourselves accountable in the fight for reconciliation for Indigenous communities across Canada.

In light of the tragic findings this past year, we ask that you spare a moment to learn, donate, volunteer, etc. to support families, Indigenous communities, and residential school survivors as we demand for better rights and reconciliation. Hold yourself accountable and take responsibility.
